Hi! I'm John Walsh, I'm currently working for the Volleyball Association of Ireland (VAI) as a Licensed Regional Development Officer (LRDO) covering Dublin City & County. This new Initiative is proving successful around the Country, with many more LRDO's operating. If an LRDO does not operate in your area then I would be happy to speak to you about any Volleyball/SpikeBall enquiries that you may have.
Volleyball Coaching and Education offers coaching & development of SpikeBall and Volleyball at Primary and Secondary School Level. SpikeBall is the adapted Game of Volleyball which is aimed at Children who have no previous Volleyball playing experience. It is a game that is fun, easy to set up, easy to teach and allows for SpikeBall (Volleyball) to be played by all from session one.
Volleyball CES is available to come to your school to Coach SpikeBall or Volleyball. It may be for one or two hours, one day a week, or you may want to set up an after Schools Club, the choice is yours. The sessions are structured lesson plans that have positive learning outcomes in line with the PE Strands of the PE curriculum. The lessons are flexible and can be tailor made to help your school achieve PE targets.

With the Active Schools Awards 2009 just round the corner, now is the time to start your planning for the activites and games you will be offering the Children at your School. Last Year I was involved with a number of Schools as part of the Active Week and it was an enjoyable experience for the Children. The Game of SpikeBall has many adaptations that can be made for the younger Children to ensure they get maximum enjoyment and participation. The Game and Skills of SpikeBall ensure that all the Children are involved and active all the time. As most Children will have no previous experience of SpikeBall, this is the ideal time to give them the opportunity of a new Game.
If you would like to arrange a session as part of the Active Schools Week 2009, then get in touch & Please arrange early!
